The MSc Computer Science at the University of Exeter is a conversion master’s degree designed for graduates from non-computing backgrounds. The programme provides intensive training in programming, algorithms, software development, and data systems, enabling students to develop the technical and analytical skills needed for a successful computing career.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in modern computing technologies while also exploring specialist areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and human-centred computing. Entry Requirements
  • UK 2:2 degree (or equivalent) in any subject
  • Applicants from non-computing backgrounds are encouraged
  • English language requirement: IELTS 6.5 overall (no less than 6.0 per section)

  • Core: Programming with Python, Data Systems, Software Development, Algorithms, Fundamentals of Security, Research Project
  • Optional: Computer Vision, Human-Centred AI, High Performance Computing, Social Networks & Text Analysis
